An important and unique value of using Dymedix airflow sensors is that physicians can get a more linear airflow pattern and faster response time in comparison to traditional thermocouple or thermistor technologies. The response time of a conventional thermal airflow sensor is generally 2-3 seconds, while the Dymedix airflow sensor has a response time of 5 milliseconds. The quick response time of Dymedix sensors helps in the detection of subtle airflow signals that might be missed by traditional thermistors.
